2.1 Stakeholder Diagram of the Arts Industry in Singapore

There are many stakeholders surrounding the Arts in Your Neighborhood (AYN) event.

General Public

One of the segments is General Public. This refers to the community members living in the Woodlands neighborhood. The residents are the audiences who contribute and give support to the event. AYN is made for the community by the community. Therefore, without the community's support, AYN will not be ongoing.

Private

Another segment of the stakeholder diagram is Private. Event Management companies, Media that reports on the arts and sponsors belong to this category. The companies that sponsor and help to make the AYN a success are MapleTree, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and SGCares. The MapleTree has been engaging local artists and presenting a regular stream of performances and art installations across a myriad of genres at the AYN. On the other hand, the arts media, The A-List, reports on the programmes conducted during the AYN and share it online to the community. The event programmes such as The Rubbish Prince and the Jumbo Fabrica are commissions for Arts in Your Neighborhood.

People

People take up another segment of the diagram. Numerous organizations are responsible for AYN such as clubs, volunteers and local artists. Each interactive arts programme conducted during the AYN are organized by established artists or arts groups. For instance, the Woodlands Memory Capsules are the works of Tan Li Ling and Victoria Lim and The Rubbish Prince are done by the 3Pumpkins, Danny Yeo and Ong Kian Sin. Whereas, the Sing SCO is organized by the West Coast Community Arts and Culture Club and performed by the team of Singapore Chinese Orchestra. Volunteers at the AYN are also part of people. These volunteers help to answer queries asked by the audiences.

Public

Arts in Your Neighborhood is a programme initiated by the National Arts Council with the aim to provide enriching arts experiences for everyone at their doorsteps. This programme is also supported by the MCCY. This initiative is also to promote self-expression, creativity, and bonding through the arts by bringing it to where people live, work and play.

2.2 Organizations that support AYN

Therefore, without these stakeholders, AYN will not run smoothly. The event will not even achieve an attendance rate. These stakeholders come in a package. Even with one small organization removed, the event will be a total failure.
